Prof. D. Rooney is a Professor of Chemical Engineering and holds the position of director for CenTACat, a multidisciplinary centre exploring the theory and application of catalysis. He has strong interests in ionic liquids, sustainable processing, catalysis and energy with over 70 publications, book chapters and patents in these areas. Prof. Rooney serves on the all-Ireland Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) committee and the IChemE’s catalysis subject group.
