تمارا عبدالجابر

Tamara Abdel-Jaber is a co-founder and an executive board member at Palma Consulting.  She is responsible for strategy, corporate governance, performance management and business development. Until 2014, Tamara served as the elected chair of the board for the Institute of Management Consultants and Trainers – Jordan. She currently serves as the elected Chair at the Global Institute of Certified Management Consultants. Tamara is also a founding member of Girls in Tech – Jordan Chapter and serves on its board. Additionally, Tamara serves on the board of the Business and Professional Women Association in Jordan.

Tamara was selected to take part in the 2009 Fortune/ U.S. State Department Global Women Leaders Mentoring Partnership where she was mentored by c-level executives at Accenture in New York and Chicago. Tamara was also selected to participate in the Presidential Entrepreneurship Summit in Washington D.C., USA.

In recognition to Tamara’s contribution to spark business innovation and entrepreneurship in the MENA region, she has been ranked at number 39 of 100 Most Powerful Arab Women for 2011. For three years in a row (2011-2013), Arabian Business recognized Tamara on its list of Power 500 (Most Influential Arabs). Additionally she has been recognized as one of ten women entrepreneurs to watch in emerging economies by Business o Feminin. Tamara was also recognized by Forbes Middle East as one of the 200 Most Powerful Arab Women for 2014.

Tamara is a member of the World Entrepreneurship Forum. This is a global community and think tank of entrepreneurs who aim at shaping the world of 2050 with an entrepreneurial vision, creating wealth and social justice.

Tamara participated in many national and international conferences, as a lecturer and key-note speaker on the topics of strategic and operational management, business process management, as well as entrepreneurship and women leadership. During the past years, Tamara participated in several business related studies in the fields of business valuations, design of management and reporting systems, strategy execution, process assessments and optimization, e-services, business blueprint, as well as enterprise architecture.

Born in 1976, Tamara Abdel-Jaber graduated from the University of Jordan in Amman, where she received her bachelor degree in Accounting and Finance with honors. And she became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 1997 from Delaware - USA. She started her professional career in 1997, as an accountant at the Computer and Engineering Bureau (CEB). In 1998, she was assigned the Financial Manager position at the CEB Group of companies, responsible for financial management, planning and budgeting. In 2001, as the Chief Planning Officer (Internal Consultant); Tamara worked on strategic planning, corporate re-structuring; as well as; performance management.

In 1997 Tamara co-founded Palma. Palma currently employs 20+ consultants, has several international alliances and business partners, and is actively providing its consulting services in strategy design and execution, business process management and enterprise architecture design to large organizations across the Arab region. Palma has been recognized as a Arabia500 company; that is one of the fastest growing companies in the Arab countries, Turkey and Pakistan.
