Dr.  Moayad Samman

Dr. Moayad Samman is currently holding senior board positions in a number of Global Investment companies specialized in the field of heavy industry, real estate developments, hospitality, education, banking, agriculture and trading.He is currently Chairman of the Board for King Hussein Bin Talal Business Park, the largest Real Estate project in the Middle of the Capital Amman, Vice Chairman of The Military Credit Fund, Chairman of King Abdullah II Special Operations Training Center (KASOTC) and Industrial Professor at the German Jordan University.

Dr. Moayad has over 25 years of operational experience in the general management of small, medium, large and mega business operations.

PROFESSIONAL HISTORY

Dr. Moayad has previous professional experiences in educational, public and private sectors organizations covering a diverse array of fields from Business managements, business Development, Business process re-engineering to engineering research. In the public sector Dr. Samman has held positions in the higher Council for Science and Technology and Jordan Export development and Commercial Centers Corporation, and the Industrial Engineering Department of the University of Jordan. His experience in the private sector covers small, medium, large and mega enterprises, from Nuqul Group to Jordan Cement a subsidiary of French Lafarge, in addition to several other companies.

Dr. Moayad Samman was the Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer for the King Abdullah II Design and Development Bureau (KADDB). Dr. Samman was entrusted with achieving KADDB’s mission, which is to harness science and Technology to fulfill Jordan’s need. KADDB is comprised of a Research & Development facility, industrial services and KADDB Investment Group (KIG), that includes all of KADDB’s industrial Companies.

Dr. Samman was appointed as Director General for National Resources Investment and Development Corporation (MAWARED), MAWARED is one of Jordan’s largest investment and Development Corporation in real estate, which includes the Abdali Project and the King Abdullah Bin Abdel Aziz City in Zarqa. Additionally Dr. Samman was also appointed as General Commissioner for the Development and Investment Projects Fund (DIP). DIP is responsible for general investments and business development for the Jordan Armed Forces and Security Agencies.

Dr. Samman was the Group CEO of TaherInvest, a multi-billion global investment group in the field of heavy industry, real estate Developments, hospitality, education, agriculture and trading.TaherInvest hasoffices in Romania, US, Vietnam, Jordan and Afghanistan, where the Group operates in multiple areas. The group currently owns and operates over twenty-six companies employingover five thousand employees. Since February 2013, Dr. Samman has become Advisor to the Chairman on their multinational business.

Dr. Samman is experienced in General Management. Specifically he has ample experience in Strategic Planning, Business Development, Business Finance,legal affairs, Business Excellence Models, Total Quality Management, Business Process Re-Engineering, Project Management, Human Resources Development, Marketing, Public Relations and Communications.

§  The British Chevening scholarships awarded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, which led to PhD degree in Industrial Engineering from LoughboroughUniversity.

Dr. Samman is a regular participant in the world Economic Forum which takes place in Davos, Switzerland, Istanbul, and most recently Dead Sea in Jordan.
